What is your perfect day on the river? Can you picture yourself rolling out of a cozy bed, throwing on your swimsuit and shorts and taking just a short stroll down the embankment to dip your toes in the cool flow of the Guadalupe River? Does your day begin waking up slow on a Saturday morning, fixing a hearty breakfast in your fully equipped kitchen? Does it include lazing in the hammock and drinking your coffee while you overlook the flowing water just a stone’s throw away?
What about relaxing in a camp chair, a cold drink in your hand and your feet soaking in the current while your kids splash and play in the warm Texas sunshine? Or how about returning to your house after an enjoyable afternoon adventure of tubing to take a nap or watch an afternoon movie? And how about grilling some delicious hamburgers on your personal barbeque grill for your friends? Or listening to some tunes and finishing the day by the rolling river with a campfire in the pit and roasting marshmallows?
Air Haus has 3 bedrooms at the street level, each with a queen size bed and 2 full baths. The full kitchen and spacious living room is also on this level. Huge windows pour lots of natural light into each room. There is also a balcony overlooking the river just off the living area. Down below in a “walkout” style level, there is a bunk room with 5 bunk beds and a pullout couch, offering sleeping for up to 12 more people! This level also has a full bath just outside the bunk room. There is a covered concrete patio with picnic tables for outdoor eating, a corn hole game to play and steps down to the river’s edge! A hammock is also included at this house, and don’t miss our special “Selfie Spot”!
Sounds relaxing! Sounds like a dream day on the river! And it’s all possible when you make the short drive to River Road Escapes, located between 3rd and 4th Guadalupe River Crossing. The house has direct river access, so it is perfect for playing or just relaxing as you watch others float in the river. Also, you can exit the river from a variety of places up and down the River Road. Downtown New Braunfels and Gruene offer fine dining, entertainment and many fun activities. Canyon Lake is just a few miles away where you can rent a boat or take a nature walk. Austin, Schlitterbahn, San Marcos outlet malls and the San Antonio Riverwalk are also convenient driving distances!
